About Danny
Danny, co-founder of Ripple Effect Center, is a down-to-earth, direct, and compassionate Licensed Social Worker who leads with warmth and authenticity. He understands that healing happens in connection—with ourselves, others, and the larger systems shaping our lives. With humor (and sometimes a touch of sarcasm), Danny accompanies clients as they navigate life’s ups, downs, and in-betweens. He provides a space for folks to examine deeply rooted patterns and ensures they maintain a sense of safety along the way. He honors clients’ expertise in their own life and understands the power of being seen and heard, leveraging their strengths and story as a stepping stone for growth.
Danny practices from a trauma-informed lens and incorporates evidence-based interventions into the work—including dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, family systems, and body-based practices—making the complex feel practical and accessible. In his practice as a school social worker, Danny has been well positioned to accompany folks experiencing anxiety, thought, mood, and neurodevelopmental (ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities) conditions. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and trained sexual assault advocate, he is also passionate about identity issues and gender-based violence.
As a human outside of session, one might find Danny working out, spending time with loved ones, reading, and exploring all Chicago has to offer. He also enjoys coaching (and playing volleyball), bouldering, and board games.
