About Lauren
Lauren is the owner and Co-Founder of Ripple Effect Center. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work through Loyola University Chicago. After years of working in the school system, Lauren saw the need to create a space where inner experience is welcomed alongside social context so clients are able to safely rediscover all parts of themselves.
Through over a dozen years of experience working with adults, families, and adolescents from a variety of backgrounds, Lauren has developed a compassionate and authentic approach. She values the humanity and lived experience of those she meets, and is able to help clients explore their stories in meaningful ways. Lauren is passionate about the mind-body connection and helping clients understand how past experiences can impact the present day. She integrates principles from somatic therapy, parts work, dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to support meaningful and lasting change. She has vast practice walking alongside those overwhelmed by relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use issues, life transitions and parenting. With empathy and support, she encourages clients to explore their thought, behavioral and relational patterns while providing practical tools to do so- always honoring their preferred ways of being.
As a dedicated professional, mother and wife, Lauren brings a relatable and down-to-earth perspective to her work. She understands the complexities of life and offers insight and guidance with warmth and authenticity. Outside of her practice, she enjoys running, yoga, pickleball and spending time with her family and friends.
